Stonehenge

One place I wanted to see before leaving England was Stonehenge. It had been on my list for ages, I’d even planned numerous day trips to go out there but never ended up executing on them, for varying reasons. Luckily, a few weeks ago a couple friends were in town and we made an impromptu decision to get up early the next day, rent a car, and drive to Stonehenge.

It was a bit overcast, and the air was heavy with the expectation of storms, but it fit the mood of mystery surrounding Stonehenge. It’s fascinating to ponder these large stones, and what those who came before us saw in that place. I highly recommend fitting a visit into your trip if you are in that area of England.
